Anonymous asked: Do you have a donation link for the mind charity? Can't make it to your launch night but want to help support the cause.
Oh wow - that’s incredible. We’ll sort something our ASAP and I’ll post it on here. Thanks, it really does mean a lot.
Anonymous asked: If Ben UFO wasn't already one of my favorite DJs, after reading that he would have become one.
I know, I respect him so much. One of the most down-to-earth people.
Anonymous asked: why bar ben ufo?
He offered to play for free at the launch, along with Pangaea, but their booking agent wasn’t having it, so Ben offered to play, get the money, then give it straight back to us to give to Mind, but the booking agent still wasn’t up for it.
Anonymous asked: Why is it a 'bristol takeover' do you mind me asking?
Initially it wasn’t going to be, but after booking Pinch and Gemmy, it just kind of seemed right. When we were getting the night together it was around the same time Resident Advisor did their Real Scenes on the city, and I’d been listening to a lot of Kahn and chatting to some people from around the Bristol area. We weren’t trying to make a statement with it, just all fell into place really. Plus do you know how hard it is to find London-based DJs (bar Ben UFO) to play for free for charity?
Just found out one of the boys has been using my towel and toothbrush while I’ve been away…
Here we go! Just posted the interview with Kahn up, can have a read here if you like. (Check out the first track posted in the interview, ooooohlala)
If anyone from London or the London area could invite their Facebook friends to the launch party event page, here, I would much appreciate it!!! x
Tonights show at Rhythm Factory. Big preview in Metro today!
Should all head down to this if you’re about tonight - massive night.
